We are all sorry to hear of Merlyn’s passing. A very nice picture of him in the obit. We remember all the neighborly good times. Mark enjoyed many fun times up north with the family. Merlyn was a hard working family man. We will remember his quiet manner and goodness. Our heartfelt sympathy to all the Gates’s.

We were so sorry to hear of Merlin’s passing. He was a dear first cousin who was closest in age to me. Most of my cousins are younger or some a few years older. He, his brother, Elden, his parents, my parents and my brother spent a lot of time together at his parents’ home in Lansing on Thanksgiving Days back in the 1940s and ’50s. Many fond memories. He will be sorely missed.

Our sincere regrets,
Cousin Mona (Shane) Townsend and husband, Ted (220 Iroquois, Jackson, MI 49203)

So sorry to hear of cousin Merlyn’s passing. It sadly has been too many years since we have seen him at any family reunions. Bringing back memories of Elden’s sax playing at our local bar back in the day in Bellevue. Condolence to Joyce and the boys.

Sincerely,
Jim and Gay (Gates) Noble

Dear Joyce and Family,
So shocked to hear of Merlyn’s passing. Seems like it was just yesterday when we talked to the two of you while shopping.
We are in Florida for the winter.
Our sincere sympathy to you and your family.

Dear Joyce
So sorry to hear about Merlyn’s death. He was a pioneer and a genius in his field, a dedicated musician, and wonderful mentor to his son’s and all the boys in the neighborhood. His passing is a great loss to all who knew or worked with him. All the Kuhnmuench kids remember him fondly.
