Mary C. McDonald

Mary Catherine McDonald, 84, of Granby, Quebec, Canada, died peacefully Saturday evening, September 13, 2014, in Lansing, Michigan.

She was born to the late George MacDonald and Catherine McDougal on October 16, 1929.  Mary was preceded into death by her sister Orianne.  Mary was the widow of Jean-Louis Rochon and Leopold Bonin, and was also preceded into death by her life partner Lucien Raymond, in 2011.

Mary is survived by two siblings, George (Luisa) MacDonald and family of Beaverton, Oregon, and Delores Clemens and family of Thousand Oaks, California.  She is survived by four children: Suzanne Bonin of Montreal, Quebec, Gabrielle (Byron) Haskins of Lansing, Michigan, Johanne (Serge Bouchard) Bonin of Ile Bizzard, Quebec, and Marcel (Martine) Bonin of South Lyons, Michigan.

She also is survived by grandchildren Olivier (Isabelle), Mathieu, and Simon (Mieke) Ducharme, Stephanie (Max) and Claudie Guilbault, Lynnsey and Chanel Bonin; and step-grandchildren Josh (Katy), Anna (Steven), and Stephen (Noraan Sadik) Haskins, Daniel (Zanita) and Joseph Pattison; and great-grandchildren Haydn, Julia, Zoey, and Melina.

Visitation will be at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. Funeral Liturgy. Visitation will also be held in Granby, Quebec at a future determined date. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice.
