Charlene, Bradley and Jay,

Your father was such a wonderful man. I had known him for over 20 years because of our mutual friend, Jim Lynch. Such shock to hear of his passing. Words cannot express how my heart breaks for you and your children. May God send you his angels of comfort to be with you while you grieve.

John, your smile and laugh will be truly missed, my friend. I pray you rest in peace for all of eternity.

Dear Margaret and family, I am so saddened, hearing that John passed away. All the memories of childhood sort of flashed by as I sat thinking about him dying so young, thinking about him amidst all of our neighborhood antics. Though John was always in on the fun, he was definitely the easy going, gentle soul. I will always remember sliding down your hill on those cardboard pieces from your new appliance, the forts Sue myself, John and Hans built only to have the cows tear them down. The Olympics in Frank and Shirley’s yard, the circuses we would construct in Grandma Phelps’s yard, the popcorn we wouldn’t eat at your house after either Bobbi Jo or Sherry would “spit the popcorn kernels back in the bowl”, and so many more healthy, hearty, childhood memories with the “Phelps’s kids!” We all grew up, good times, bad times, we all grew up, and I am so thankful for the neighborhood memories we share, myself being gratefully for being shaped knowing all of you. My sincerest sympathy, prayers and compassion, Ingrid
