Uncle jim you are a hoot. Visits with my Uncle Jim, Aunt Lucille and cousins Jimmy and Renee were always filled with the sound of laughter and love. I remember how full the house and yard would be with everyone and the jibber-jabber of fun loving voices. Each gathering was so active and energetic that I never wanted to leave. After a get-together, sleep was so sound and deep. The memories of those days and happy times are wonderful.

I can still hear Uncle Jim’s calming voice and see his easy going face and smile. He was my buddy. Heaven is having a wonderful get together and I wish I could see and hear it. I love you Uncle Jim. See you when I get there.

Love,

Kenny

Uncle Jim you were truly an amazing Uncle to me . You always made me laugh with your funny jokes and that great smile and that calming voice you always had (a lot like your mother) and I will miss all of that . I know everyone in heaven is around you and you are making them all laugh ..your mother, (my grandmother Louise) , your Dad (my granddaddy) and your little sister Marsha ! Uncle Jim you are in God’s glory and in a better place and whole and well again. I miss you but you will always be in my heart, till I see you in heaven.

Mrs. Ristow and I extend our deepest and sincerest sympathy to the Jim Grugett family in their bereavement. I had the privilege of working with Jim at the Estes-Leadley Funeral Home. Jim always carried out his duties in a most professional manner consistent with the expectations families over the years have placed on one of Michigan’s finest funeral homes. Compassion, care and service excellence were always first and foremost to Jim. While Jim will be sorely missed, he will not soon be forgotten.

Farewell friend,

Donald & Jeanette Ristow

Renee & Jimmy,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your father. I have nothing but fond memories of my Uncle Jim. I will cherish the wonderful moments we all shared growing up together and spending family vacations & holidays at your childhood home. Always so much fun & laughter. He was such an awesome unassuming man with a great presence about him. Although time & distance had separated us, my memories have & will remain near & dear to my heart. My thoughts and prays to you both & your families.
Love to you,
Kristen
