James Duffy

Perry, Michigan

Age 90 passed away, March 26, 2015. He was born December 8, 1924 in Lincoln, Nebraska son of the late Frank and Alice Duffy.

James “Jim” was a U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Military Police during WWII, retired from General Motors where he worked as a Tin Smith and was a longtime member of Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lansing.

He is survived by two sons, Randy (Sue) Duffy and Lonnie Duffy; daughters-in-law, Marce Duffy and Ruth Duffy along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and other extended family members.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy and two sons, Douglas and Donald Duffy.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Emanuel First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 N. Capitol, Lansing with Rev. Paul J. Lindloff officiating. The family will receive friends at the Church on Tuesday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at Rose Cemetery in Bath. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
