Gordon T. Wilson

Gordon T. Wilson, of Lansing, MI, died on May 21, 2014 at Grandhaven Living Center. He was born on June 20, 1922 on Lion Mouth Farm in Amesbury, MA. During WWII he served with the 7th Field Artillery, flying Air Observation Post missions over France, Belgium, Germany and Czechoslovakia. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Air Medal with 5 Oak Leaf Clusters.

He was married to Betty Jane (McAdow) Wilson who predeceased him as well as very close friend Clarice Lawry. He retired in 1985 from Oldsmobile where he was Assistant Superintendent, Production Engineering, Tool & Die Design. Gordon was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge #196.

He is survived by his daughter Pam (George) Hill, son Ted Wilson, three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, extended family, several nieces and nephews as well as many loyal friends.

Visitation will be at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014. A memorial service will be held at Grace United Methodist Church with Pastor Jane Ellen Johnson officiating on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The family offers sincere thanks to all the staff at Grandhaven Living Center for their compassionate, loving care. Donations may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Hospice of Lansing in memory of Gordon.
