Ervin W. Gunn

Traverse City, Michigan (formerly of Holt).

Ervin passed away peacefully on April 24th, 2015 at the Hospice House surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Ervin was born May 13th, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur and mother, Edith Dorothy Gunn; his son, Jeffrey D. Gunn, and his wife, Carolyn S. Gunn. Survivors include his Children, Jon (Dawn) Gunn, Jim (Angie) Gunn, and daughter, Jodi Gunn; 12 beautiful grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister Audrey (Greg) Morris, and 1 nephew, Benjamin (Jessica) Morris.

Ervin was a Holt High School Graduate and attended MSU. He was employed with GM, Coldwell Banker and Real Estate One, all while maintaining the centennial farm on Gunn Rd. His passion was his antique tractors and historical wooden boat. He had a deep rooted love of traditional farming and agriculture, which will be passed on for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by all.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Lansing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from Noon until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Grand Traverse County Commission on Aging, 520 W. Front St., Traverse City, MI 49684.

love you uncle erv. i remember coming to spend summer days with you guys and your big dog sally. i remember aunt carolyn making us noodles and diced tomatoes. we thought we were eating like kings. to this day my girls love noodles and tomatoes. i remember meeting you and the boys in detroit for the boat shows and you coming to my wedding. i will miss you but never forget you.
