I have only known Dan for a couple years through a fellowship we shared…but he was always ready with a smile and a hug when I saw him and he would genuinely want to know what I had been up ro and how I was doing. Sad to lose him so suddenly, but I KNOW I will see him again someday! <3

Dan…Nobody could say our time together was boring. Whether you were trying to teach me to hit a golf ball or just trying to find a song I recognized, we always had fun. Even on the night the Spartans lost, we managed to end the night laughing. 🙂 You were so easy to be around and made me feel comfortable right from the beginning. Our time together was way too short. I will truly miss you. My heart goes out to your family.

Dan…you were a great man and a fantastic brother. You will forever be missed. I loved you so much and had a great time on every one of our vacations, golf trips and just times traveling in the car. Thank you for wonderful times and lots of laughs. Have a great time in heaven with Dad! I’ll see you again someday, but not soon enough. I love you!

I am writing this to Dan’s girls. I knew your father when he was a teen in Jr. High through Deerfield Church (6th-8th grade). We were in the same classes together at church and he was a super classy person. He always, and I mean always had a smile for everyone. He was very humble and “even bashful” to the girls. He took the time to make friends with the new members and helped everyone learn the routines. I can remember him helping the adults with carrying things all the time and laughing at the church bus travel trips. He was a classic sweetheart and I am very sad to hear of his passing. I am sure you are hurting but I want you to know that he left an impression that was very positive to people and with that you can hold your heads up high. I am sure he lived his life with the same compassion and kindness that he had as a teen. I wish you peace at this time.

Dan,
You were the youngest of my 3 precious boys and altho you were all very close in age and alike in lots of ways you always had your own personalities. I never thought I would ever see any of you taken from me but God had a different plan. I know it’s not for me to know that plan yet but I know it will be revealed to me someday so until then I will just say “I will always love you son and one day I will meet you and the rest of the clan just inside the Eastern Gate so watch for me there.
