Daniel W. Klauka or Dan as most knew him by, of Lansing, passed away unexpectedly April 11th 2012, two days after he celebrated his 50th birthday. He was born in Lapeer in 1962 to Elizabeth and Clyde Klauka. He graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor degree in political science. Dan was an extremely devoted Michigan State Fan, he had season tickets to both the basketball and the football games. Dan enjoyed attending these games with his family, especially his daughters, Meghan and Paige Klauka. He worked as a financial Consultant and had a gift for salesman ship.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Klauka. He is survived by his daughters Meghan and Paige of Holt. Dan was also survived by his mother , Elizabeth Klauka of Lapeer Michigan, brothers Mike (Holt) and Ike (Dunedin Florida), sisters Linda (Grand Rapids), Diane (North Branch), Leah (North Branch) and Christine (Detroit).
Dan was a blessing to every life that he touched and will be greatly missed but we will never forget or stop loving him.
Visitation will be held from 3-5 and 7-9 pm Monday, April 16th 2012 at Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel and again on Tuesday, at the church, from noon until the celebration of his life, which will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Holt Christian Church, 2424 Washington Road. His girls encourage you to wear your Spartan green to the celebration. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michigan State University Athletics Spartan Fund, 535 Chestnut Rd. – Room 200, East Lansing, MI 48824-4005.
