Chuck will be dearly missed by everyone who truly knew him. He helped make the Welcome Center program one of the best in the country. He inspired his people to grow, and become all that he knew could be. All of us have fond memories of Chuck.

Many of us would ask Chuck what is middle name was and he would say that C.P. stood for Charming Prince, and he was absolutely right. Farewell Charming Prince.

Dear Sharon, So sorry to hear of the death of your husband. Chuck and I go way back to Pattengill and the Band. I remember him being a drummer with Dick Barker. I played first cornet at Pattengill and later on first Horn at Eastern. I am still playing professionally. You remember my wife Margot Jackson, two years ahead of you. I was a Band Director for 50 years.
If there is anything that we can do for you, please let us know. God Bless You in these times of stress. Chuck was a good man and you can be proud of the fact you spent 60 wonderful years with Chuck – leaving magnificent memories and a fine family.

Margot and I were dating back in seventh grade. 4 sons, 4 grandchildren and no great yet

Yours in Christ, + LOVE

I worked for Chuck, as his Executive Secretary in MDOT from 1991 until his retirement in 1995. Chuck was an “excellent” administrator to work for and with each day. He did so much for the welcome centers program, and I always had admiration and respect for him. Chuck was really good to me when I was going through a family illness, and I will always remember that kindness to me from him. Rest in Peace Chuck..
