Dear Don, Lisa and Family:

We are so terribly saddened to learn of ‘Doc’s’ passing. Having lost a Husband and Father, we realize only too well the depth of your heart’s loss.

As Momma and I said to Don earlier, Doc was an unforgettable personage: hearty, humorous, full of life and a big, sweet Bear-of-a-Man. Momma and Daddy both thought the world of Doc.

May He now rest in heaven with the Lord, be with his Angels, and for ever look over Us All.

With Much Love to All,

Mom and Charlene

I have such fond memories of Dr. Benson as an employer, and as the dad of my best friend, Cherie during high school. His hearty laugh is unforgettable! I am sorry for your loss.

I just read about “Doc’s” passing in the MSU Perspectives magazine.
I was certainly saddened to hear about it and it caused me to reflect about his impact on me. I learned a lot about business from hi..but some things about life as well. I always admired his love of life, positive outlook, and especially his dedication and affection for his wife. He was truely one of the “larger than life” chararacters I’ve ever had the good fortune of knowing.
