Barbara Vera Sinadinos

Barbara V. SinadinosAge 75, passed away February 27, 2013.  She was born June 20, 1937, in Grand Rapids, to George and Stella Deliyanides.  Barbara graduated from Mt. Mercy Academy in Grand Rapids, and graduated from MSU with a BA degree.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she served at Past President of the Philoptochos Society.  She was the first licensed Cytotechnologist at St. Lawrence Hospital, and worked there from 1950 – 1975.  Barbara owned CC Greenery in Okemos, and Aldrich Floral in Mason, and she was an FTD Master Florist.

Surviving are:  her husband, James; 2 sons, Andrew Sinadinos and Gregory (Cyleste) Sinadinos; 5 grandchildren, Steven, Gregory, Alexandria, Ross, and Hudson; great-granddaughter, Eleanor; brother, Dean (Delores); sister, Sophia; sister-in-law, Beverly.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Harry Deliyanides.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1701 E. Saginaw St., Lansing, with Fr. Mark Sietsema, PhD. officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 6-8 p.m. Friday, with a Trisagion service at 7:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Salvation Army, or Downtown Lansing YMCA in memory of Barbara Sinadinos.

Jim: I am very saddened for your loss but take great comfort in knowing Barb is not suffering any longer and is in a much better place smiling down on her loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow. Stay strong and positive and hope to see you soon again at the breakfast table with all our friends. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to ask.
