Maddie is survived by her 2 sons, David (34) and John (30) Hodowaine; 2 grandsons, Cody Hodowaine (4) and J.W.C. (4); her parents, Dan and Lorene Willcutt; 3 siblings, Karen (Robert) Stewart, Dan Lewis; and Roxie LaMacchia; 2 nephews, Justin Lewis and Bill Fountain; 1 niece, Brandi LaMacchia; and several of her son’s friends who called her Ma.

Maddie was a caring and loving free-spirited person. She had a laugh that could be heard over anything and a cry that would melt icebergs. Maddie was so full of spunk that everyone around her looked dull. There are a lot of people in this world and no one will ever compare to her. In the highest unconditional love, you will be missed by all. You will live on forever in our hearts and in our minds. We love you and know you will always be with us.

A memorial service will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Riley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Pink Ribbon Riders, 5420 Beckley Rd., Suite 334, Battle Creek, MI 49015.

I will never forget the laughter. Yes, a very SPUNKY lady Maddie was . . . so upbeat and positive. She usually tried to just “go with the flow” whenever possible. Happy to have known her — blessed to know her sons.

Rest in peace, Maddie. May God’s perpetual light shine upon you always!

Maddie you were not just my “older” sister but you were also my best friend. We had so much that I think alot of people were jealous of us, on well we didn’t care. I think about all the stuff we were going to do and made up my mind that if I didn’t go camping and on bus trip with ALR that you would come down and kick my butt one way or other so SIS I’m going. Not one day has gone by that I haven’t looked for you for an answer and I can’t get over it that you aren’t there. I miss you now and will miss you for the rest of my life. I will think of you often especially since I have to find someone else to call on lunch! Everyday you will be in my thoughts as usual sis. I love you!!!

    Dear Maddie
I will miss you parking your car in the road, so many times, I had to watch out for your front end while backing out in the morning. Your consistant oil stain from your car(s) will always be there. It is a wonder your cars even lasted. For some reason you were always hard on cars. I will always remember you laughing and joking around, You were truly caring and thoughtful. I think the best time you had this summer was after Cody’s birthday party with the wet T-Shirt contest when Cheryl surprised you with the hose. Payton may have lost his girlfriend for now, however; he will see you sometime when it is his time, Now you and Darlene can sit up in heaven and drink you pop, smoke you cigs and jabber away. I love and miss you already and someday we will all be together.
