Christopher Mark Clickner passed away September 17, 2012 at the age of 34 with his family at his side. Chris graduated from Mason High School and was employed by Douglas Steel.

He is survived by his parents Vicki Richards and Thomas and Robbin Clickner, brothers James (Stacey) Clickner, Jeffrey Clickner (Amber Coutu), grandparents Bonnie Chisolm and Robert and Irene Ayles, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Chris’s passion in life was his family, his Tigers and MSU Spartans. His goal throughout his battle with cancer was to return to work with his friends at Douglas Steel. Chris will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Although our hearts are breaking, he is now at peace.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the U-M Comprehensive Cancer Center, Melanoma Research Program.     17 years ago I met Chris. There were so many times that we laughed and cried together, but mostly laughed. His smile was contagious and so was his attitude. I am certain that anyone who ever met Chris seen these wonderful qualities. I am so honored to have such wonderful memories of Chris. My condolences to Chris’ entire family for he is truly going to be missed.

    Chris was a not just an employee but a close friend and I enjoyed working with him. His smile and humor- I will miss the most. He was never short on jokes. He always had a great attitude at work, he knew his job and did it very well. He will be missed by me and many at Douglas Steel. He will never be forgotten. He will always be in my thoughts and heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

    I went to school with Chris since 6th grade. He was a great friend. I will truly miss him and I am very thankful for the chance to have known him.
    I send my deepest sympathies to his family. He has been an inspiration and touched so many of us during his life. He will be greatly missed. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
