Age 56, of Grand Ledge, passed away August 8, 2012. She was born October 2, 1955, in Grand Forks, ND, the daughter of Charles and Trudie Bullard.

Sunny graduated from Central High School in Grand Forks, ND and was very active in equestrian events and training. She owned and operated Dreams of the North Alaskan Malamutes in North Dakota and Missouri and Sunnees Persians Cattery in Lansing. She also worked for the State of Michigan Democratic Legislative Print Shop until 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Xanthe Bullard of Grand Ledge; brother, Doug and his wife Pat Bullard of New Smyrna Beach, FL; nephew, Nate Bullard of Ypsilanti; partner of 14 years, Jeff Espie of Grand Ledge; the Campbell family; and many close friends. Sunny was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Winston and Trudie K. Bullard and her brother, Perry Bullard.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Xanthe Bullard.

    My best friend lived on the corner in Grand Forks. We were always together until my family moved to the North end in Grand Forks. She came into my mind so strongly this Spring. I guess I know why. She was my first and bestest friend. Although we drifted apart, I love you Sunny, now and always!
