My Favorite cousin (of whom I was named after).
Rest in Peace my friend. Your are in the arms of Jesus with Uncle Arlan, Grandpa Dewey and Uncle Gene.
We will miss your laugh, smile, and your funny cell phone camera moment with your Aunts and Cousins.
We will see you again.

Greg did the best he could in every way he knew how to and always knew how to make me laugh. I remember growing up smelling the fresh made pancakes in weekend…the Best fluffy kind!! I am the other step-daughter who will also truly miss him. I will cherrish the memories I was able to know him and appreciate everything he has done throughout the years. Thank you Greg for being a DAD, it takes a very brave, kind hearted person to take on that responsibility and I will never forget you.

I was on the USS Cleveland from 1976 to 1979 when I was discharged/ended my enlistment. I recall you being attached to “The Steamin’ Cleve” 1977. We quickly became from friends. Budweiser was the main common denominator. You introduced me to Bob Seger and Ted Nugent. Both music heroes from your hometown. Over the years I have collected their music and have seen both in concert thinking of you and the good times we had. I considered you my best friend at the time. It seemed that we were inseperable.
As life goes, I went back to Oregon and you to Michigan. We wrote letters back and forth in the beginning. And then life goes on again.
A good friend/shipmate Richard Foster reconnected with me with your email address via email a few years ago. I recall emailing back and forth wanting to meet in Montana a few years ago at my sister’s property. Once again life goes on.
I was listening to vintage Ted Nugent recently and got nostalgic. I pulled up your email address and it came back as undeliverable. I googled you and got the obituary of your passing.
It’s one of those things that you think about someone not knowing just how much time has passed without communicating.
Great memories, great guy. Add this to one of my “Regrets in Life”. My thoughts and prayers go out to his “families of life” even if I did miss it by a couple of years.
Mickey, May 2014
