Pamela Ann Moore

December 29, 1947 – April 2, 2012

You are invited to celebrate her life on Saturday, May 19, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at River Terrace Church, 1509 River Terrace, East Lansing, Michigan.

Pamela was the 1975 State Poster Citizen for the developmentally disabled for the State of Michigan, traveling the state, meeting with governors and dignitaries, to promote millage dollars needed to create programs for those with developmental disabilities. Because of Pamela, her mother, Marjorie A. Moore, was a founder of Moore Living Connections, which houses the developmentally disabled throughout the State of Michigan. Marjorie Moore has served on their Board for 40 years and continues to be a serious lifetime advocate.

Pamela proved the doctors wrong. She lived a long, full, happy life and was an asset in her home and a joy to her community. Her father always said: “Raising a special child is like opening a Christmas present. You never know what you get when you open it.” We would love to have you join us on May 19, 2:00 p.m., at River Terrace Church to celebrate a “Blessing in Disguise.” Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
