Age 77, of Okemos, passed away, Friday, March 16, 2012 in Lansing.  She was born July 12, 1934 in Lansing to John and Madeleine (Norris) Sheldon.  She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church; and worked many years in the Lansing area real estate business.   Elizabeth was a gifted and natural caregiver to family and friends alike, and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons: Gary (Robin) McLellen of Centerville, Utah, and Mike McLellen of Kentwood, Michigan; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, siblings: Keith (Kathy), and Martha; an aunt, Katherine Cummings, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, V. Wayne McLellen; a grandson, Gary McLellen II; her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Mary McLellen.

There will be a memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 501 E. Mt. Hope Ave. Lansing with Rev. William Haggard officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.  The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation, 4-7 p.m., Wednesday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, or the Veteran’s Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.

    We are sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. We wish we could attend the service. However, Gary is out of state until Friday and I have just gone back to work. You are in our thoughts.
