Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 18, 2011 at the age of 83. He was born November 9, 1928, in Lansing, MI.

Bill was a World War II Navy veteran, receiving the American Area Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was known for his love of golf, bowling a 300 game, and always had the dream of owning his own race car. Following retirement Bill and Myrna traveled to Gulf Shores for many years, meeting many wonderful people.

Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Myrna; brother, Bob Jipson; and many other family members and friends. He is survived by children, Greg (Penny) Jipson, Gail Jipson, Gina (Dave) Kuerbitz, and Grant Jipson; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dawn Jipson; dear nieces and nephews; and his four-legged bed partner, Sofie Marie.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions, in loving memory of Bill, may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Dad, you will be missed so much.

I had the pleasure of meeting and indirectly working with Bill at the City of Lansing. Our paths crossed many times and he was an assest to the City and to the Administrative Services Department. He was truly a great man. May knowing that others share in your loss help you through this difficult time.
