Timothy L. Hendricks

Age 53, of Mason, died Thursday, November 24, 2011. Tim was born October 7, 1958, in Flint, MI, the son of Thomas J. and Jerrie Hendricks. He was preceded in death by his mother, LuLu and his brother, Trent, with whom he has now joined.

Tim was a graduate of Williamston H.S., he served our country, with 4 years in the Marine Corps, he was a corrections officer for 19 years for The Michigan Dept. of Corrections and also graduated from the L.C.C. Truck Driver’s Training Program. He was a self-taught auto mechanic, working on his dirt bikes and his Ford trucks. In true Hendricks form, it was not uncommon for him to help the less fortunate and repair friend’s vehicles for nothing. His family was the most important part of his life and he was very close to his Mother and Dad. In his teen years, he enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his youngest brother Trent, who was always at his side. He was especially fond of his sister Terrie and all his life he looked up to his brother Todd. Joyful times for Tim was when he was with his Dad and brothers, either hunting or fishing. He worked many years with his oldest brother Tom, learning all about the carpentry trade. Tim also loved his family time with his nieces, nephews and cousins scattered around Michigan.

Survivors include his father and step-mother, Thomas (Diane) Hendricks; brothers Tom (Patricia), Todd (Bonnie); sister Terrie (Thomas) Boggus; uncles, David (Natalie) Lucas and Robert York; aunt Marceline (Arthur) Nelson; stepfather William Turner and many stepbrothers and sisters; nieces Kaylynn, Leah (Kevin), Kayla, Jessica; nephews, David, Michael, Anthony.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
