Age 81, of Dimondale, passed away November 16, 2011. He was born February 25, 1930 in Ironwood, MI the son of Thomas H. and Leone Christensen.

Tom was a member of Mount Hope Church International Outreach Ministries since 1989, serving as an usher for over 20 years.

Tom is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan; son, Jeff “Free” (Kerry) Christensen of Lansing; 5 grandchildren, Isaac, Raymond, Tina, Jenny and Rachel; several great-grandchildren; along with Belynda, Susan and Debby, who were like daughters to Tom; and 2 little puppies, Mattie and Chloe, whom he loved. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark T. Christensen in 2000.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at Mount Hope Church, Garden Prayer Chapel, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, with the Rev. John Elieff officiating. Interment will be in Dimondale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eaton Community Hospice or Eaton County Meals-On-Wheels.
