Donald passed away September 21, 2011 at age 81. He was born October 15, 1929 in Lansing to Floyd and Sarah Bell. He was currently of Holt, MI.

Don was an Oldsmobile retiree, an avid golfer and sportsman.

He is survived by Joyce, his wife of 59 years; daughters, Lynne Bell-Evans and Pamela (Rex) Merriott; grandchildren, Preston (fiancée, Jackie), Matt (Adrian), Jessica, Ryan and Erik; great-grandchildren, Jaydon, Carter, Hudson and Evan; a sister, LuAnn; brother, Jerry; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Mark, one sister and two brothers.

Don/Arlen/“Uncle Bud” was a devoted family man and role model who enriched our lives forever.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Grovenburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Huston officiating. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grovenburg United Methodist Church or Hospice of Lansing Stoneleigh Residence. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.
