Eleanor M. Korkoske

Eleanor M. Korkoske, age 82, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 from Alzheimer’s.  She was born April 20, 1929 in Gladwin, Michigan to Fred and Anna (Kutzke) Gatz.  She retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. in 1989 after working for 33 years.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and music.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Rudy, Arthur, and Albert.  Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Donald; son, Dennis (Sharon); daughter, Julie (Roger) Marsh; grandsons, Cory Marsh (Fiance’, Stacey Metz) and Brett (Bonnie) Marsh; great grandchildren Fallon and Rafe Marsh; brother, Edwin (Frieda) Gatz  along with many nieces, nephews and friends.  Funeral services will be held at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 12:00 p.m.  Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice Advantage of Lansing.

Uncle Don, Denny and Julie, Losing a wife of so many years and a mother is a terrible thing. We are all thinking of you and praying for you. We all wish we could be there with you.
