Ruhno, Marshall LeRoy

Age 91, loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011.  He was born on July 15, 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, the youngest son of Henry and Kathyrn (Navroth) Ruhno.  Marshall married Alice (German) on May 29, 1949 and they were happily married for over 59 years.  Marshall was a World War II Veteran and was awarded both the Purple Heart and Silver Star.  He was employed by Western Electric in Lansing for over 35 years and was an active member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Lansing for many years.  He was preceded in death by his wife Alice; sister, Edna Habel; stepsisters, Margaret Ruhno, Dorothy Mosimann and Evelyn Ruhno; stepbrothers, Raymond, Earl, and Eugene Ruhno.  Surviving are his son, Gerald (Faye) Ruhno of DeWitt and granddaughters, Amanda and Courtney Ruhno.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m.  For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth Congregational Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
