Gone is the soul that we have loved

Betty died peacefully at home with her family on July 13, 2011. She was born in Hamilton, Indiana on October 10, 1919, the daughter of Walter and Ruth (Perdue) Kepler. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, Walter and Ruth and brother Darwin Kepler.

She lived the majority of her life in the Lansing and East Lansing area. Betty was a long term volunteer at Ingham Medical Center and also the manager of the hospital’s gift shop for over 10 years. She was a life member of the DeWitt/Wacousta Chapter of the Eastern Stars #133.

Betty is survived by her beloved daughter Barbara Lantz, grandson Dustin (Brenna) Lantz and two great-grandchildren, Rowen Nicole and Ethan Cole Lantz. Also surviving are her brother Carl Kepler, sister Lora Lee Dole, and many greatly loved nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation. Arrangements have been made for private services for all members of the family. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions in memory of Betty, to the Sparrow Hospice Services, 1210 West Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48915.
