Dear Auntie Lu, Nancy, Paul and Jo, Aaron, Katie, We wish we could be with all of you but send you our loving prayers from Ashland, Oregon. We were fortunate beyond measure not only to know such an excellent man as Uncle George but also to have him as a loving, caring uncle all of my life. He did so much good for so many people in many different areas of his life that he remains one of the most inspirational people we have had the privilege of knowing. God grant you the strength, comfort, quiet, and rest you need now and in days to come–you know Uncle George would have wanted that above all. Ann and Walt

Our heartfelt condolences go out to you all at this difficult time from all of us here in Stratford upon Avon, England, who sadly are not able to be with you.

During our visits to Michigan over the years, George always offered great hospitality and conversation that left you in no doubt that he was was an extremely kind, considerate man who will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Dear Paul, Jo, Nancy, Katie, Aaron and Lucille,
I can speak for the entire Olsen family in saying how sorry we are over your father, grandfather and husband’s death. George has been such a fixture in our growing up years, both in the church and through our Uncle Albert Peterson. He was just always there — ready to jump in to assist in any fashion he could. Carrying a smile and a good attitude — I looked forward to seeing him when he came by the church. He will be sorely missed. Love Connie and family

During my time at Grace Lutheran I always felt the caring embrace of George Anderson and his family. His unconditional acceptance and the love for all provided a model that is a part of me to this day. I wish that I could be in Lansing to provide my heartfelt condolence, but circumstances keep me in Oregon. Blessings to all…

Dear Lucy, Nancy and Paul,

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Mr. Anderson from the School for the Blind when I was a student there. He was my Industrial Arts instructor and club meeting advisor. He always had fun little phrases that we would say that entertained us all during the day. He had a great sense of humor!
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of great loss to you.

George Anderson, my great uncle, was a quiet hero through the warmth and love he displayed toward his family and his many contributions to his students and his community.

He was a kind, generous, and thoughtful man who always took an interest in those around him.

We will all miss him. And my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the family and all those who were touched by him.
