Victoria Kay "Tori" Croff

Born February 14, 2003 in Lansing, Michigan. Died on June 19, 2011 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Tori was a beautiful, spritely child. She had an unquenchable vitality and infectious smile. Tori played hard with her sisters and her friends and was determined to blaze a trail in becoming the first cowboy, ninja gymnast. She loved animals and was often found romping with her dog, cuddling with her cats and playing with her rabbit. She will cavort in the hearts of those who loved her forever.

Tori had a gentle soul that manifested itself in the way she cared for her friends and the people around her. She mediated disagreements, bandaged boo-boos and was full of kindness for everyone she met. She loved being outdoors and climbed every tree she could reach. She was fond of flowers, playing in the water and riding her bike as fast into the wind as possible.

Tori is survived by Mother Laura Croff, Father Jeffrey Croff, Step-Mother SaDonna Croff, Step-Father Michael Wheaton, Sisters Alexandra Croff, Isabella Croff and Josephine Croff, Step-Sisters Nicole Moon, Cassia Wolfe, Hannah Wheaton and Mia Wheaton, and Kyle Wolfe and Blaine Wheaton. Tori is also survived by many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Olivet Baptist Church, 5455 W. Willoughby Road, Lansing, MI 48911 on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation is at the church at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Jeff and Family:
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and always. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your little girl. Please take comfort in the fact that your ‘Tori’ touched your family in a special way that will live on forever in your hearts and the hearts of many others; She will never be forgotten. She is a child taken too soon no doubt, but an angel now and forever who will be watching over you and your family and will see you through. Please let me know if I can do anything to help you and your family in the days, weeks, and months to come. Please do not be afraid to lean on those who care for you and accept the help offered.
Sincerely,

I can not comprehend the feelings of loss your family must be going through. Comforting words can aim at easing your pain but nothing can replace a loved one. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
