David E. Sanderson, of Lansing (formerly of Holt) passed away on Friday, April 29, 2011.  He was born May 6, 1931, to Henry and Gertrude (Moore) Sanderson in Lisbon, NY and was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Craig.

He is survived by his sons, Michael (Barbara), Mark, and Jon; dear friend, Gary Roberts; grandchildren, Jason (Crystal), Jeremy (Kristin), Michael, Matthew, Mitchell (Randi), and Amanda Sanderson; great-grandchildren, Kolton, Lillian, and Patricia Sanderson; brother, Homer Sanderson of Lisbon, NY; former wife and mother of his children, Pat Hall; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

David served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.  He retired from Oldsmobile where he worked in the data processing department.  He was a member of South Church of Lansing.  He was Past Master and Life Member of Mason Lodge #70 F&AM, and Past Patron and Life Member of Mason Chapter #150 Order of Eastern Star.  In earlier years he was a Delhi Township Trustee and private pilot.

He enjoyed a long retirement and traveled extensively.  Dave enjoyed summers at Gun Lake, playing cards, managing his rental homes, and any occasion with family or friends.  He will be forever missed for his enthusiasm for life, his interest in people, his stories, and most of all his humor and frequent laughter.
