Age 67, of Lansing, passed away March 25, 2011.  She was born in Lansing on January 15, 1944 and was a 1961 graduate of Lansing Everett High School.  Following her retirement Sandy was employed at Younker’s in the Lansing Mall.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Judy Penski, mother, Doris Phillips, former husband and best friend, Larry Earls.  Surviving are:  daughters, Kelly Earls and Kim Fox; 3 grandchildren, Kayla Christofferson, Austin Fox, Amber Fox and many nieces and nephews.  Other relatives and special friends to include, Ellie Vinette and the Vinette family, Steve Penski, Gary and Elaine Earls, Diane Earls, Barb Burris, Phil and Jackie Kelly, and her dog, Lola.

The family will receive friends at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, and a Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir Catholic Church, 815 Sparrow Ave. at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Fr. Bernard Reilly as Celebrant.  The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses and caregivers.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.

    I had the pleasure of working with Sandy through the Central District Dental Assistants Society and Michigan Dental Assistants Association. She was a great lady!
