Diana Lee Kesler

Diana Lee Kesler (Lady Di), age 68, of Bath, Michigan died peacefully at home on March 4, 2011 surrounded by family.  She was born to the late Deloris and William Gordon on June 19, 1942 in Lansing, Michigan.  On September 17, 1960 Diana Lee married Daryl Lee Kesler and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Diana was a faithful member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and truly enjoyed her church family.

Diana enjoyed her family and friends tremendously and loved to travel.  Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, and crafts.  She also loved to seek out area casinos and play the slots.  She spent a lot of time during the summer at their Mullett Lake cottage and wintered in Plant City, Florida.

Diana was a devoted and loving wife, mom, grandma, and great-grandma.  She was very proud of her family’s work and accomplishments.  She is survived by her husband, Daryl and their children, Tim (Tonya), Todd (Anne), Troy (Camie); grandchildren, Jake, Levi, Gabriel, Jake, Cristina, Cody, Taylor, Kasey; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Terry (Rosemary) Gordon; and sisters, Nancy (Rick) Powers, Sharon Taylor and their families.  She was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Hap Taylor and nephew Chad Powers.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. William Lugger as celebrant.  Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel from 2-4 p.m. and at St. Casimir Catholic Church from 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary to be held at 7:30 p.m.  Donations may be made to The Shinsky Orphanage at P.O. Box 312, Bath, MI  48808.

My heart and prayers go out to the entire Kesler family. She was a remarkable women, I will never forget the time when Aunt Di, Camie, Mom, and Aunt Sue went to Vegas, we had so much fun, it wll be one of many memories that I will have of her. She was loved by all. Love and miss you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Kesler family at this time of great sorrow. Diana was such a gracious person and will be missed by all. May God put his arms around you and comfort you in your time of loss. I know Jack would like to be with your family and at the services for Diana, but his hospitalization has prevented that, again we are sorry for your loss. Love to all.
