James E. Oade

Lansing

James Edward “Jimmy” Oade, born March 14, 1948, left his earthly home on November 25, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Oade; mother, Helen Oade; and brother, Gary Oade.  Left behind to cherish his memory are his brother, Jerry (Donna) Oade; children, Kristin Oade and Bryan Oade (Yolanda Lopez); grandchildren, Courtney Oade (Marcelle Reed), Jesse Lopez, and Justin Oade; great-grandchildren, Malachi, Nevaeh and Georgie Reed; very special friends, John Somers, Milly Shiraev, Danny Roberts, and Kip Simon; and his loving cat, Kitty.

Jimmy graduated from Okemos High School in 1966. Later he managed the Oade family businesses The Dells and Mac’s Bar. He retired to Florida in 2002 and recently returned to his home in Lansing, MI.

Gone too soon, we love you and you will always be with us.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 918 Comfort St., Lansing, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
