Dear Luke,
Denise and I were both shocked and saddened to read in the paper that you and the kids have lost Laura. We send our most sincere condolences to all of you. We’re sorry that we will not be able to offer our regrets in person as Denise is out of the country and I am temporarily confined to bed with muscle spasms in my back. Even though we won’t be able to say so in person, you are in our thoughts and our prayers.

Dear Luke,

I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Laura. My apologies for being unable to attend the service in person. While there are no words to ease the pain today, or the days that follow. Please know you and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers.

May she rest in peace and live on in the smiles of your children.
