Dale D. Roland

Our loving husband and father, Dale D. Roland, was received into his Eternal Home on August 28, 2016. He was born June 4, 1928, in Lansing, to Charles and Jessie Roland.

Dale graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1946. He worked at Indian Hills Golf Course in Okemos for several years and later at Holt Car Quest.

He is survived by wife, Irene; children, Virginia (Mike) Reynolds, Gwen (Don) Fuller, Anson (Lorrie) Roland and Lydia Roland; four grandsons and six great-grandchildren; stepchildren, several step-grand and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews along with one sister. Preceding him in death were his first wife, Velma Roland, his parents, and 4 sisters.

A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2418 N. Aurelius Rd., Holt. His family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church and School.

The top of this page says “Mid-Michigan’s finest funeral home” which is very fitting because Dale Roland was one of Mid Michigan’s finest men!! Thank you Dale for all you’ve meant and done for our family!! Thank you Irene too!!

He is resting now with our Lord. I am so thankful for Dale and all he had been to my mother, Irene Roland. He has been a steady rock for her and his presence will be missed His memory lives on in all of those who knew him.
