Stanley R. Curtis

Age 92, of Lansing, MI, passed away on March 23, 2016. He was born January 14, 1924, in Lansing, son of Daniel and Nettie Curtis.

Stanley graduated from MSU, and proudly served in the Army during World War II. He retired after a long career as an engineer for the City of Lansing Public Services.

He is survived by his children, Tom (Pam) Curtis and Bill (Cathy Fields) Curtis; daughter-in-law, Maryanne Curtis; grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) VanderVeen, Kevin (Jamie) Curtis, Dustin Curtis, and Kira Curtis; 6 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Jackie Rydman; and brother-in-law, Jim (Carol) Wingerter. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Lois E. (Wingerter) Curtis; son, Scott Curtis; and brother, Bob Curtis.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. Entombment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
