Okemos, Michigan.

Born March 28, 1944 in Manhattan, New York son of the late George and Lucy (Pierro) Berghorn passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at age 71.

George was a beloved husband of 46 years to his wife, Mary Berghorn; loving father to his son, George and daughter-in-law, Emily Berghorn; and a doting grandfather to his granddaughter, Caylie, who called him “Pa”. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, Sonny, Johnny, Louie, and Nicky Tabano.

George loved acting in his theater groups; loved singing, especially Karaoke; and was a volunteer at The Willows in Okemos.

Per his wish cremation will take place and a private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital, Smile International, or the Wounded Warriors Project.

Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
