Dear family:
Carroll and I send love and prayers in the death of first cousin Clifton. We’re thankful we got to visit with him in Lansing 4-5 years ago. He built the block garage on our Sharon farm for my dad, Noyel. We loved it when he brought his guitar and amp and made music on the front porch of our farmhouse. May God comfort you as you commit Cliff into His eternal arms.

Randy & family, Our sympathy goes out to you all. We absolutely loved your dad and all his spunk! He lived life how he wanted and had a great time doing so! Loved hearing and seeing him sing and pic on the guiater & take a nip or two here and there!! All the great memories of him will ease your pain in time. If you do need anything do just let us know.

Randy,Penny, Sherry and Ricky please know my heart goes out to all of you. I loved Uncle Clifton so much, he was a constant part of my childhood and love to listen to him play and sing. I woke up about 5:00 am Friday with the song “Rocky Top” going through my head, and Daddy called me about 8:00 to let me know he passed.
I know he is in heaven now with Granddaddy Uncle Dean Uncle Jake and Doug playing one of thoes old timey country songs we all grew up on.
I’m so sorry for all of you just know you are in our thoughts.
Please give my love to Aunt Marilyn too.
Love you all
Cindy Lou

Papaw I loved you dearly and will miss you with all of my heart. I am sorry I didn’t get to spend as much time with you as I wanted to, but I am grateful that I got to spend your last few days with you! I know you are up in heaven playing music with the rest of the family. I think that is one thing we will all remember about you. That reminds me of a funny story…when you guys were playing music at my wedding reception. You were playing for quite a while, and then you said something about people weren’t listening (maybe they were tipsy and being loud, I am not sure) so you went out in the hallway and started to play out there instead! Now that is dedication to music!! 😉 Also I am sending love from McKayla, Elijah, and Hunter who will surely miss you as well!

I worked as a brick tender as a child for my dad Bill Starr. Cliff worked for my dad at the time and he was always a joy to listen to. I know this is late and you likely won’t see it but I wanted to let you know your father touched many lives during his time Including mine and he is still remembered by many today.
