Rex M. Carter, Sr.

Rex Murray Carter, Sr. “Mo” (age 92) passed away peacefully on January 11, 2016. Rex attended Central High in Lansing and went on to GMI (now Kettering University) where he graduated with Honors and was President of the Honor Fraternity. He was a naval officer during WWII. He worked for GM/Oldsmobile his entire career and retired as Supt. of Manufacturing. Rex was an avid fisherman and golfer. He was a voracious reader and loved traveling. He was a member of Central Methodist Church.

Rex was predeceased by his beloved wife, Charlotte, and son Rex Jr. He is survived by his two daughters, Jacquie Kuker and Jill Fleischman, daughter-in-law Terry, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, his sister, Phyllis Olin, half-sister, Sandra Briggs, half-brother, Jack Carter, and his Aunt Bonnie.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Fitzgerald Park in Grand Ledge from 12-3 p.m. All family and friends are invited. Please RSVP to Jacquie at 703-707-0012 or email her at jkuker1@verizon.net.
