Age 72, of Lansing, MI, passed away January 2, 2016. He was born December 29, 1943, in Moline, IL, to Charles and Treva Riley.

William was an avid reader, coin collector, and he loved animals and kids. He was a member of locals’ #1309 and #602, and retired from Navistar International in 1985 and from GM as a journeyman millwright in 1993.

He is survived by 2 children and their families, a close network of friends in the Lansing area, and his two cat companions. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.  Interment will follow at Deepdale Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, January 7th from 4-6 p.m. and again on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society.
