Vernon H. Howe

Age 94, passed away September 5, 2015.  Loving husband of Evelyn for 73 years; dear father of Brian Howe and Deborah (Dan) Ide; loving and proud grandfather of Karen, Gavin, Katherine, Audra and Adam; dear brother of Donna Kebler; and great-grandfather of eight.  Born in Eagle Township on April 6, 1921, to Edward G. and Faye Howe.

Vernon graduated from Eaton Rapids High School.  He retired from Adams Tool and Engineering in 1985 as vice president and engineer.  He served on the Alaiedon Township Board and planning Commission for over 35 years.  Vernon enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, working around his farm and restoring antique John Deere tractors.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Holt United Methodist Church, 2321 N. Aurelius Rd.  Interment will take place at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family wishes for contributions to be made to the Holt United Methodist Church.
