Helen M. Bohnet

Age 95, of East Lansing, MI, passed away July 9, 2015. She was born July 27, 1919, in Traverse City, MI, daughter of the late Howard and Elsie Sweet.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her brothers, Roger and Howard Sweet; and dear sister-in-law, Ann Sweet.  Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Nancy Bohnet; son, Barry Bohnet; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Gay Bohnet; granddaughter, Tami (Tim Selfridge) Bohnet; and 2 great-grandsons, Carter and Grant Selfridge.

Tiring of Michigan winters, Helen relocated to Dunedin, Florida, in 1972 where she lived until 2011 when she returned to Michigan to be closer to her family. She was a 30-plus-year member of the Dunedin Mease Hospital Auxiliary.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015, at Central United Methodist Church, 215 N. Capitol Ave., Lansing, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Lansing, Inc. – Stoneleigh Residence  or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing Nancy. I remember hanging at your house many times when we were younger. My thoughts are with you.
