Ed Bladen was one of our closest friends. While we are unable to attend his funeral, we are glad that we were able to visit with him last Wednesday and even managed to get a smile or two. We appreciated his intellect and his outrageous sense of humor. There was no one like him. We will miss him terribly.

Ed Bladen was my boss for many years when I worked for the AG/Consumer Protection Division. I ran into him a few times after we both had left that office. May you all cherish the wonderful memories you have of him.

So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I have looked forward to our visits since we lived across the street from each other at Wayne State. I loved your stories, your wisdom, and tapping into your legal knowledge when I needed advice. You will be greatly missed.

Ed was a very interesting person who I would discuss state & world issues while walking in the pool at the Michigan Athletic Club. We became friends due to Paula convincing Ed to try it with the few guys who used the pool for exercise. Ed was a great teller or fact & life events. He is missed. Condolences to Paula & family.
