Anne Carolyn Robison (Clark) Darling

Born: July 28, 1934 Chicago, IL

Died: December 6, 2014, Holt, MI

Anne was raised in Des Plaines, IL and received a diploma from Main Township High School.  She graduated from Michigan State University in 1956 with a degree in Home Economics and married William “Bill” Clark the same year.

Anne’s career took her from the Arbaugh’s department store, to Michigan Bell, Omega Farms, Michigan Nurses Association, and finally the Greater Lansing Board of Realtors.

Anne and Bill raised two daughters, Roxanne (Neil) Mullaney of Duanesburg, NY and Jennifer (Dale) Matkovich of Grosse Ile, MI.

Following Bill Clark’s death in 1977, Anne married Stanley Darling in 1982.  Her family grew to include two additional children:  Steven (Michele) Darling of Waterford, MI, and Julie (Frank) Barrett of Westland, MI.

Stan and Anne traveled extensively, including visits to all 50 states and a number of foreign countries.  They were avid bridge players, and Anne was an active member of the United Methodist Women in Lansing, MI.  Anne also remained active in Girl Scouts as a leader following many years as a scout herself, and taught knitting and sewing in the Lansing area.

Anne was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Clark; her father, Homer Robison; mother, Helen (Perry) Robison; and her brother Charles “Spike” Robison.  She is survived by her husband Stan, her children, nine grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Christ United Methodist Church in Lansing, MI on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.  The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist with a luncheon to follow.  Interment will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery in Holt, MI.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Anne’s memory to Christ United Methodist Church. Arrangements by the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel.

Wishing God’s comfort to my sweet family! Im so sorry to hear of your loss. I pray that warm memories will help you during this sad time. I have many fond memories of visiting Holt and spending time with Aunt Anne, Uncle Bill, Roxanne, Jennifer and later sweet Stan. I know she was welcomed into Gods amazing and perfect kingdom by many loved ones that passed before her…how amazingly glorious it must have been! Sending all my love from Texas! xo

Fondly,
