We were saddened to hear of Ben’s passing. He did a GREAT deal of work on our home through the years and felt like family. (We were given his name by a mutual friend). Never have I seen a person with a stronger work ethic. He drove considerable distance to work for us so tended to work long hours to accomplish more. Reluctant at first, we finally convinced him to join us for meals which we all enjoyed. His friendly cajoling with our children made him feel like family at our table. He once fell off our roof breaking his collar bone…he didn’t mention the part about hurting himself, just apologized for breaking the glass in the door wall!!! We thought he just had another job to tend to when he was away for a few days. Will always remember Ben for his laugh, smile and incredible worth ethic. He made the World a better place. May he rest in peace. May fond memories help his family through this difficult time.

To Ben’s family – we were unable to come to his memorial but wanted you to know that he was such a great help to our family. My sister had a day care and he would come and do carpentry work for her but every time he came he always brought the children treats which they loved. He helped teach my brothers some carpentry skills that they didn’t know. He helped out several single mothers we knew and he was always fair with his prices, didn’t take advantage of them and was willing to let them make payments to him. People always said he was a nice man. My cousin said when he did work for him that he even brought a treat for the dog. May you be proud of your brother’s work ethic. We will miss him. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

My family had the pleasure to know Ben for many years. Ben had made several improvements to our home and very quickly became a good friend. Trust, patience, and quality were his trademark qualities. Our family will certainly miss him. We are deeply saddened by your families loss.

Rick, Craig and Alexis.
