James Edward Reid

  James Edward Reid passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 3, 2014.  He retired from GM after 37 years of service.  Jim served as a radio operator in the Vietnam and was a member of the VFW.  He lived in Nashville, MI for all his life.

He is survived by his wife Priscilla Reid and daughters Lori Martin, Judy Taylor, Karen Chase, and Jamie Reid.  He had 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and enjoyed his time with them.  His brothers that survive him are Robert, Tom, Bernard, and Richard and a sister Eve Shipman.

He enjoyed yard work and gardening, traveling, and working on projects in his barn.  Jim was always there for family and friends; he will be missed by his family and friends.

There will be no funeral services as he requested.  Memorial contributions or cards may be sent to the family. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

Uncle Jim thank you for your kindness over the years. You will be missed. Everything changed in May of 1969. I have special memories that no one can take away. Love your niece Debbie Reid
