Bob Hicks worked with my father, Lawrence Tripp, in Mason, Mi at the US Dept. of Agriculture. He has very faithfully remembered my mother, Lorna Tripp every Christmas after my father’s passing. Bob was a wonderful, kind, and faithful friend to my parents! I am so sad to read of his passing.

He was so nice to me when I started attending the meetings. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. I am the local NARFE chapter Secretary and I have sent a copy of Bob’s Obit to the members so they will know of his passing. Thoughts and Prayers to the family in this sad time for them.

The Buck’s Chapel membership of Maury City, Tennessee, the home church of Robert’s mother and extended family offer our sincere condolences to the Hicks family. Although he was away he always had the church at heart. Throughout the year he would send monetary gifts for various causes supported by the church. He would also review our church calendar and send birthday and anniversary cards to the members. We are sad to hear of his passing.

Bob was such a dedicated conservationist. Even after retirement he volunteered in helping with the State FFA land judging contest each spring where I was able to work with him again this year and he volunteered in helping with the Soil and Water Conservation Society Highway clean up. He always had a smile on his face and that incredible voice. He will be truly missed and I extend my sympathies and thoughts to his family. He was someone most definitely to be proud of..

Sad to learn of Bob’s passing. I just saw him and talked with him during the State Land Judging Contest preparations in April. Bob’s mind was an encyclopedia of soil conservation and soil knowledge. He was a dedicated Federal Government Servant for many years. He will be missed.
