David Brocklebank

David died March 13th, 2014 of complications due to diabetes. He was born August 18th, 1940 in Liverpool, England during the Battle of Britain. He was a member of the British Diplomatic Service, serving in Turkey, New York, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria and London.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary; brothers and sisters-in-law: Joan and Joe Le Pard of Grand Blanc, MI, John and Barbara Russell, of Hershey, PA, and Bob Lane, of Salt Lake City, UT; three nieces and three nephews; four grandnieces by marriage; special friends: Lavonne and Lee Lafayette; and “adopted” grandsons Quincy and Nathan.

There will be no funeral at David’s request. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. David had a love for animals all of his life. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society. Arrangements are by the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.
