Manuel Arrizola Lino, Jr.

Age 77, of DeWitt, MI, passed away at his home on March 11, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 15, 1936, in San Benito, TX, the son of the late Manuel Sr. and Eulalia Lino.

Manuel served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War. He loved his children and enjoyed the casino, Bingo, and vacationing in San Benito, TX. He was a master griller and he loved having his family around him at all times. Manuel retired from General Motors after 27 years of service.

He is survived by his children, Frances (David) Bermudez, Luis (Cecelia) Lino, Manuel Lino III, Samuel Lino, Raul (Gloria) Lino, Christy (Mark) Beeman, Dolores (Oscar) Gonzalez, Sylvia Lino, Eulalia Lino, Angelita (Pedro) Cabrera; siblings, Luciano Lino, Tomasa (Dario) Muniz, Beatrice Cervantes, 38 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elida Martinez Lino; son, Rene Martinez Lino, siblings, Raul Lino and Alcario Lino; and grandchildren, Elida Lino, Savannah Lino and Zenaida Lino.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, where the Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18th at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St., San Benito, TX.  Rite of Committal to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
