Age 91, of Lansing, MI, passed away quietly in his sleep at his residence on February 8, 2014. He was born in Holyoke, MA on December 13, 1922 to the late Nicodemus and Frances (Jakow) Muszynski.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and his love, warmth, and good humor will be dearly missed.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla (Colton) Muszynski, and by two sisters, Rose Muszynski and Jane (Edward) Subjek of Wilbraham, MA  Surviving are his children, Nancy (Christopher) Nelson of Wilmington, NC, LtCol (Ret) Nicholas (Dr. Cynthia Cogburn) Muszynski of Sumter, SC, and Mary (James) Danowitz of Lansing, MI; grandchildren, Cpt Nicholas (Jillian) Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Dr. Melissa Muszynski, Nicole and Colton Muszynski, Stephen, Sean and Sierra Danowitz; two great-grandchildren, Aidan and Julia Nelson; and one sister, Sophie Muszynski of Panama City Beach, FL.

Walt was a skilled die sinker and worked in CT, MA, and MI. He traveled from CT to CA and decided Michigan was where he could enjoy his love of the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper; as well as an exceptional pinochle player. Special thanks to his caregivers, Pat and Misty of Home Care Advantage.

Arrangements by Estes-Leadley Funeral Home, Greater Lansing Chapel. No formal services will be held.  Memorial donations may be made to the Sierra Club of Michigan.
