Age 80, of Lansing, MI, passed away January 8, 2014. He was born January 16, 1933, in San Miguel Durango, Mexico, son of the late Cresenciano and Juana Solórzano.

Marcelo was the founder of Mexico To Go and was a member of Spanish Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife Esther Solórzano; 14 children, Felimon, Jaime, Delia Cabrera, Efrain, Samuel, Noe, Rebeca Gonzales, Aurora Vega, Marcelo, Jr., Norma Mendez, Yeshenia Guzman, Dario, Omar and Ivan; many grand and great-grandchildren; and 12 siblings. He was predeceased by his wife Francisca and daughter Elsa.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2014, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-5 p.m. Saturday and from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Worldwide Work of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
