Bette Sue Rittman
Age 71, of Dimondale, Michigan, passed away October 21, 2013. She was born January 8, 1942, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Wepman.
Bette was first and foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother, along with being a fantastic educator. She was very proud of her role in CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for abused and neglected children.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Howard Rittman; children, Sindy (Mark) Alson, Terri (Steve) Wood and Jay (Laura) Rittman; grandchildren, Seth, Alissa, Amanda, Samantha and Ruby; three sisters; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2013, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek, 1924 Coolidge Rd., East Lansing, with Rabbi Amy B. Bigman and Cantor Pamela Schiffer officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Congregation Shaarey Zedek All Children Are Special Fund.
